This website does without cookies, analytics and tracking services. We only process personal data to the extent necessary to operate the website and to handle your enquiry.

2. Accessing the website and server log files
When you access this website, your browser automatically transmits information to the server on which the website is hosted. The following data is temporarily stored in log files:
- IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of access
- name and URL of the page accessed
- website from which the access was made (referrer URL)
- browser used and, where applicable, operating system
This processing serves to deliver the website, ensure its stability and security, and fend off attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (DSGVO); our legitimate interest follows from these purposes. We do not draw any conclusions about you as a person. The log files are deleted after add number of days days.
The website is hosted by add name and address of hosting provider. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.
Data is transmitted in encrypted form (TLS). You can recognise this by the padlock symbol and “https://” in your browser’s address bar.
3. No cookies, no analytics, no external content
This website does not set any cookies and does not use any analytics, marketing or social media services. Fonts are loaded from our own server; no connection to Google or other third parties is established when you visit a page. A cookie banner is therefore not required.
On the contact page, we link to Google Maps to help you plan your route. Google Maps only opens in a new window once you click this link; from that point on, Google’s privacy policy applies.
4. Contacting us via the form, by email or by phone
If you contact us via the contact form, by email or by phone, we process the data you provide (in the form: first and last name, email address, optionally phone number and subject, and your message) in order to answer your enquiry and, where applicable, to initiate a client engagement.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR insofar as your enquiry is aimed at concluding a contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries). If you share special categories of personal data with us, such as health data, we process these pursuant to Art. 9(2)(f) GDPR for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Form enquiries are transmitted in encrypted form to the firm’s mailbox and are not stored in a database on the website. All information is subject to lawyers’ professional duty of confidentiality (§ 43a(2) BRAO, Federal Lawyers’ Act). It is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for handling your enquiry and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion; if a client engagement is entered into, the professional retention periods apply (§ 50 BRAO).
5. Disclosure of data
Your data will only be transferred to third parties if you have given your express consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), if this is necessary to carry out a client engagement (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), if there is a legal obligation to do so (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) or if it is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Technical service providers (hosting, email) are contractually bound as processors.
6. Your rights
You have the right
- to request information about your data processed by us (Art. 15 GDPR),
- to request the rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR),
- to request the erasure of your data, unless retention obligations prevent this (Art. 17 GDPR),
- to request the restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
- to receive your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format (Art. 20 GDPR),
- to withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR),
- to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The competent authority is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (Bavarian Data Protection Authority), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach.
The right of access may be restricted where information is subject to lawyers’ professional secrecy (§ 29(1) BDSG, Federal Data Protection Act).
7. Right to object
Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). An informal message to info@kanzlei-drschmidt.de is sufficient.
