Fees
Transparent costs, fair fees.
You should know from the outset what to expect. That is why I work with a clear hourly rate and keep you informed about the time spent on your case.
01Principle
Clear costs – a relationship built on trust.
Clear accounts make good friends. Reliability and transparency in legal fees matter to me. With me, there are no billing surprises.
In Germany, lawyers' fees are largely governed by the Lawyers' Remuneration Act (Rechtsanwaltsvergütungsgesetz, RVG). It sets binding rules under which the amount of the fees is generally based on the value of the matter in dispute (Streitwert). Unless a different arrangement is agreed, fees are automatically billed on this basis.
In family law and in more complex cases in particular, however, billing under the RVG often does not give clients enough cost transparency. That is why I offer a transparent and easy-to-follow hourly rate – you pay only for the work actually done.

In some – but not all – family law proceedings, the unsuccessful party may be ordered to reimburse the legal costs incurred.

So that you do not have to wait until the end of the case for an overview of the costs, I can send you interim invoices as needed. That way you keep track of everything while we work together.

All payments already made are taken into account in the final invoice and, where the other side bears the costs, refunded or credited as appropriate.
